Hi ,
By default MR4DevOps sync\saves the MR files and data in your Team Project Repo and it is recommended that you save your MR data in your ADO Repo as MR uses the ADO so it is better that you also have your MR data in your ADO Team Project GIT or TFVC repo. And if you donot sync\saves your MR data in your GIT or TFVC Repo then your MR data shall only be available in the MongoDB that is available where you have installed the MR.
The benefit of syncing or saving your MR data in the GIT Repo is that your data shall be available in your ADO and in case of any issue in MR machine\server gets corrupted then still your MR data shall remain be save and available to you. And also you can make it more secury by applying permissions directly on the MR folder(that is the inteGREAT) in your Repo.
Although it is not mandatory\required to save\sync your MR4DevOps files\data in your ADO Git Repo but we recommend to proceed like this as i had mentioned above that it is more secure and efficient approach and hence better to proceeed like this.
Thanks,
Umair Abbasi.
